Patrick Kelly, M.D., F.A.P.A., D.F.A.A.C.A.P., the President and lead psychiatrist of our organization, is a Psychiatrist and Psychopharmacologist board certified in both General and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. After completing his training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and running their Residency Training Program, he moved back to Los Angeles and is currently directing the Emergency and Consultation Services with Harbor UCLA Medical Center and serves as a full professorial faculty member at the University of California at Los Angeles.
Recognizing a need for efficient, evidence based, skilled psychiatric care in more locations than just at UCLA, Dr. Kelly founded Kelly Psychiatric Associates with the goal of providing excellent care to everyone in the community. Our organization currently sees patients at two locations, in Beverly Hills and the South Bay. Dr. Kelly has experience treating multiple conditions, and has co-written two best-selling psychiatry books on topics including Borderline Personality Disorder and Adolescent Depression. He is one of the most experienced providers on autism and related disorders in the Los Angeles area, having worked at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Maryland before relocating. Most importantly, he is ready and able to help you and your family with your mental health needs.

INTRODUCING DR. JENNA CHENG
Dr. Jenna received her B.S. degree in cognitive science/neuroscience at UC San Diego. S
She then ventured out east and received her medical degree at at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she stayed to complete her adult psychiatry residency. There, she found herself drawn to the way adults talked about their childhoods and families, so she went on to complete her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Harbor UCLA-Medical Center. Throughout training, she developed a profound appreciation for the psychodynamic approach rooted in attachment theory and humanistic psychology, supplemented with skills learned in CBT and DBT.
Dr. Jenna is particularly interested in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, behavioral issues, and psychotic symptoms. She is also passionate about helping immigrant families navigate the difficulties of adapting to a new environment. Dr. Jenna is certified in trauma-focused CBT, and trained in family therapy at UCLA. Her dedication to trauma and family work allows her to value an individualized, culturally-sensitive approach to care.
INTRODUCING DR. EDWARD CASTELO
Dr. Edward C. received his Medical Degree at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University
Dr. Edward Castelo is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist who is double board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He specializes in diagnosing and treating a full scope of mental health disorders, including, but not limited to: anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, autism, OCD, and trauma-related disorders. Dr. Castelo’s holistic, culturally humble approach of psychiatric care allows him to tailor treatment plans to target short- and long-term treatment goals by using both pharmacologic and non-medication therapies. He works with patients of all ages and has extensive expertise in evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), family-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and parent management training. Dr. Castelo has worked across levels of care, including outpatient community care, emergency psychiatry, residential care, and school mental health services. He is an advocate and well-versed in special education accommodations (e.g., IEP, 504 Plan). Dr. Castelo is fluent in Tagalog and Spanish.
